Joy has spent most of her adult life traveling around the world while discovering more about herself along the way. She follows the flow of her life and truly enjoys the journey as it unfolds. After healing from her own personal traumas, she discovered her life purpose, which is helping others discover their own truths and uncovering who they truly are underneath any filters that they've had on themselves or on the world.
Joy studied Journalism for her undergrad, received her Trinity CertTESOL from Trinity College and taught around the world. She discovered the healing effects of holistic nutrition while working alongside a chef at a yoga retreat center in Australia. She also studied Thai Yoga Massage with Yoga Trinity in Australia and then returned home to study holistic nutrition at the Nutrition Therapy Institute. She worked at NTI, helping to develop the curriculum and to market their programs before hopping around the world, picking up various modalities along the way, such as energy work and guided meditations.
After coming back to the US, she became a certified hypnotherapist from the Hypnotherapy Training Institute and is board certified with the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. She went on to study nature-based coaching with the Earth Based Institute. She received her RYT200 with Yoga Farm and loves teaching gentle yoga classes with laughter and self-care. She came back to the US with a soul-driven mission to help others and to give back what she has learned from living abroad and through her own healing process.
In her free time, she enjoys blogging about her adventures around the world, running up mountains and exploring anything outdoors.

Tammi is our head of admin, and keeps Progressive running smoothly.
Growing up I have always been passionate about culture and food. Throughout my travels around the world I was able to experience many different cultures and how food always seemed to bring people together. It was not until my health declined shortly after moving to the USA did I realize the importance of how food can heal your body and that is where my love and passion for nutrition broadened.
When I'm not geeking out on recipe development or reading up on further education you will find me hanging out with my husband, two golden retriever puppies and my dressage horse on our small farm in South Florida!
